Sunday School Lessons

We present here some pages on Christian based lessons and activities  for children and their teachers  both outside and inside their own Sunday School.

We thank Lorna Webb, our dear friend and primary school teacher in South Australia,  for providing all of this teaching material for us.  Lorna is delighted to have any comments about her work and will certainly answer any questions anybody should have about her work.  Her email address is "byrd ( at) internode.on.net.".  Please replace the "at" with the @.

It is most fitting that Lorna has created a series of lessons based on the church itself.  She includes lessons on all the major things inside a typical church, including the altar, pulpit and lectern etc. She has also provided us with a lesson plan based upon Palm Sunday and Pentecost..

Check out her teaching pages below.

Collect (Prayer) for 4th May 2008

The Sunday after Ascension Day

O God the King of glory, you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven: we beseech you, leave us not comfortless, but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before, who is alive and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever.  Amen.

This site is dedicated to Hilary Doreen Davies who departed this life 26 November 2003 aged 71 after 23 years of chronic illness with strokes, cancer and arthritis.  St Hilary's Church is our tribute to a brave lady who was mother to Sarah, Catherine, the late Rachel, the late John and wife to the late Owen Williams Davies.
